Gentlemen,

Welcome to the 2025 season of the Goose Hummock Men's Golf League! As the new manager this year, I anticipate a few minor adjustments in the coming weeks, and I appreciate your patience as we navigate them.

We had a great start to the league last week, on May 7th. The first two weeks will be dedicated to establishing league handicaps, and we'll also be awarding some fun hole prizes during this period. Keep an eye on your inbox and our league website at www.ghmensleague.com for more details about weekly games and upcoming events, which we'll be sending out over the next couple of weeks.

Men’s League Tee Time Booking Policy

• To book your Men’s League tee time, please use the Tee-on Booking system.

• Simply click on the "Book a League Time" button.

• If you are booking for multiple members in your group, please enter the name of each member you will be playing with.

• Please note that any tee times not booked by Friday at 6:00 p.m. will be released for general public booking.

After reviewing last week's scorecards, we have a few important requests to ensure smooth scoring and record-keeping:

• Please turn in your scorecard after each round.

• Clearly write your first and last name and the date on your scorecard.

• If you are playing with someone who is not a league member, please mark them as a "Guest".

• Print your hole scores clearly.

• Do not mark scores in relation to par (e.g., +1, -2). Instead, please record the total number of strokes for each hole (e.g., 3, 4, 5, 6).

For the time being, we will be using last year's League Rules. We are currently in the process of updating these rules and will distribute the revised version shortly.

In the meantime, for our new members, here are a couple of key rules we use to help speed up play:

• Maximum Score: Double par is the highest score you can take on any hole.

• Water Balls:

  • Penalty: 1 stroke.

  • Drop Options: Drop at the point of entry or use designated drop zones.

  • Designated Drop Zones are located on the following holes:

    • Hole 7: By the 8th tee cart path.

    • Hole 8: By the forward tees.

    • Hole 10: On the fairway near the cart path after the forward tees and across the bridge.

    • Hole 14: Near the cart path by the green.

    • Hole 17: Near the cart path by the green.

• Lost Balls or Out of Bounds:

  • Penalty: 1 stroke.

  • Drop: Drop at the point of entry.

• All bush is considered Red Staked

  • Penalty: 1 stroke.

  • Drop: Drop at the point of entry.
